I have about 40 computers that are running software that needs reader version 10 to operate but I cant find a location to download it. can someone point me in the right direction? Thanks
You can get the installers from here: ftp://ftp.adobe.com/pub/adobe/reader/win/10.x/
Is there a specific reason why you want Reader X and not a newer version, though?

I looked at the download websites, and it appears that even choosing an older operating system, Reader X is no longer available. Reader XI is.
Be aware that support (and security) updates for Reader X were stopped in 2015. Support and security updates for Reader XI were stopped last fall.

Is there a reason you can't run the version of the free Reader that also has security updates?

Also keep in mind that if you are installing on other peoples computers, you will probably need a distribution license and I don't think that is available for that old of a version any more. Normally it isn't for unsupported versions.
