Just want to know if there is a workaround or an actual piece of software that will show the first page of the pdf file in place of the one for Adobe Acrobat.

Hi

Is this what you are looking for?

This is in the Finder:

This is in Acrobat in the Recent Files:

Adobe Bridge also shows a Preview.

Thanks for your reply. I have found a "workaround"

Firstly I uninstalled Adobe Acrobat DC

Then I installed PDF-XChange viewer and set to default

Now the icon for PDF files is the first page of that file

So, just to see, I reinstalled Adobe Acrobat DC and made it the default

With PDF-Xchange still installed the icons still show the first page but with a small Acrobat icon in their lower right corners. Sure, it means that I have an unused program installed but I consider it a good result.

Worth passing on?
