I created an editable pdf form using my current subscription to acrobat pro.  It has editable text fields and an image field. In order to ensure everything worked ok for adobe acrobat reader users I tested the form on a system with the latest version of reader 2024.003.20112 the desktop version of reader.  Unfortunately when I click on the image field it does not prompt to select an image to add.

Any ideas on how to get this working properly? Thanks in advance!

Hi there

I hope this message finds you well, and thank you for reaching out to us.

To resolve the issue you're experiencing with your PDF form, I recommend following the steps below to enable additional form functionalities. This will allow you to use the full range of form tools, including the image field feature.

Steps to Enable Extended Features in Acrobat:

  1. Open your PDF form in Adobe Acrobat.
  2. In the top-left corner, click the Hamburger menu (three horizontal lines).
  3. From the dropdown menu, select:
Save As Other > Reader Extended PDF > Enable More Tools (including form fill-in & save).

After saving the file with these extended features, try reopening it in Adobe Acrobat Reader. Once open, click on the image field and test if the issue persists.

Please let us know if this resolves your issue.

Regards

Amal
