Insane memory usage (leak) for Adobe Synchronizer on Mac

I have a problem with the Adobe Synchronizer background program. I'm using a Mac OS Catalina (10.15.4) on a MacBook Pro (15" mid-2014). In 1-2 days of Adobe Reader being open, this little background program ate up 27GB of memory. Large memory leaks have occurred repeatedly with this. See it at the top of this list in this screenshot of my Activity Monitor:
