You have Adobe Reader or you downloaded it. What OS? Can you launch Reader independently from downloading the file? What browser? How are you trying to downloaded ad the file? Please give exact steps.

I'm trying to open a PDF file of lab text results. The site—Labcorp—was recently redone. On the old site, the conversion to PDF always went quickly. Now I'm told I have to have Adobe Reader, but I have it in my Applications folder. When I try to reinstall, it just goes back to that FromDocToPDF page. I'm using a Mac, OS X Yosemite, version 10.10.5.

Try to control-click on th URL or button to download the file. The will remove Acrobat from the equation, if you cannot downloaded ad the file, then they have coded the sit incorrectly.
