Installing Acrobat Reader - This worked - avoids 90% issue and program not working

Question

I had a few frustrating attempts at installing reader bythe normal way (download the small installer).

A few times it froze on the 90% mark. I tried running it as administrator, and got a checkmark to let me know it was finished.

But then clicking on the icon (or running from command line) did not produce anything. Some of the other programs worked - e.g. accept the license.

But I found this link:

It downloads the whole program and then installs it.

And it works. 🙂 🙂 🙂

Sorry to hear about your frustrating experience.

Looking at the description above, you have completed the installation by downloading the installer from here: https://get.adobe.com/reader/enterprise/.

Not sure what might have been blocking in your first attempt. Was it a direct download from Adobe's website?
