Instead of editing original document in a cloud acount, adobe will just download a copy.

I am using a third-party app to access files and pdfs from a cloud account of Zotero. Instead of being able to download it, edit it, and reupload it,  adobe just downloads a copy to edit and will not reupload it as the original. Other pdf editors seem to work and I am using those for now, but I very much prefer adobe.
