Insufficient data for an image - Quickbooks

Quickbook Premier 2017, has worked flawlessly for the past 4 years.  Since around Nov. 20th, files created with Quickbooks, when opening with Acrobat Reader, we get the "Insufficient data for an image" error.  Other pdf's open with no issues.  I have already tried changing preferences as recommended but it did not change.  Can open the files with Chrome and we don't get any error, the file opens and displays the contents correctly.  Quickbooks is blaming this on Adobe . . . .  Anyone else experience this and have a solution ?

Hi Tomgear

Hope you are doing well and sorry for the delay in response. This indeed means there is an issue with the file itself. Quickbooks is creating the pdf so it would be a Quickbooks issue. Some pdf viewers will ignore these types of issues but Adobe products are a little more strict about pdf's that don't match their compliancy.

Please try to create the PDF using Adobe Acrobat Pro DC application and see if that works fine.

You may also check the help page https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/insufficient-data-image.html and see if that works for you.

Regards

Amal
