I am attempting to download the IRS form 1023. I get a message after the download starts that tells me "If this message is not eventually replaced by the proper contents of the document, your PDF viewer may not be able to display this type of document. You can upgrade to the latest version of Adobe Reader for Windows®, Mac, or Linux® by visiting http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html. For more assistance with Adobe Reader visit http://www.adobe.com/support/products/ acrreader.html."
Nothing ever happens. I have updated to the latest version of Reader DC and still get this message. I am running Windows 10 and my browser is Edge.
I imagine there is a simple way to download/save the PDF from whatever you are viewing it in. But that's not really our department.
You can try right clicking on this link, which is the form you get from IRS: https://www.stayexempt.irs.gov/StayExempt/Interactive-Form-1023.pdf

Don't view the form in the browser. View it in Reader.

Download the pdf by right clicking the link to the file and choose to save it to your computer. Then open Reader and use File>Open to open it.
You are getting this message because the browser you are using does not use Adobe Reader to view the pdf. It uses its own pdf viewer which doesn't work with pdf forms.

The download site does not give me an option when I right click to download. Here the link to the download page
Interactive Form 1023 Presentation
I have turned off Edge's default PDF reader as it won't even open the IRS PDF file.

I clicked on the link you provided, then right clicked on the error message page and the interactive form was saved to the designated folder. It appears that the form was downloading but not displaying in Reader DC. Anyway I have it now so thank you for the suggestion.
