Hello,
I use Acrobat Reader free version on a Win10 OS and I couldn't activate the option Print to Adobe.
I noticed that the folder Xtras\AdobePDF is missing from the Adobe directory.
I tried to repair the application from Help" > "Repair Installation" and also tried to install Adobe Print to PDF manually following the steps below, but the port Documents\*.pdf and the folder Xtras\ are missing.
Click Start > Control Panel > Devices and Printers
Select Add a printer
Select Add a local printer
the free version of Acrobat Reader does not include the option Print to Adobe.Check Use an existing port and select Documents\*.pdf (Adobe PDF) from the drop down. Click Next
Click the Have Disk button
Click the Browse button
Navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Acrobat 10.0\Acrobat\Xtras\AdobePDF
Select Adobe.inf from the list, then click the OK button
Reinstalled the app but with the same outcome.
Do you know whether the free version of Acrobat Reader includes the option Print to Adobe?
Thank you
Nicolae
No. The Adobe PDF printer is only a part of the paid-for Acrobat, not the free Reader.
