Issue: Adobe Acrobat Scrolls Slowly When Selecting Text Across Pages

New Here ,

I’m experiencing an issue with Adobe Acrobat on my Mac. I’m trying to select all the text across multiple pages in a PDF by dragging the cursor downward. Normally, when I keep the mouse (or trackpad) pressed and move toward the bottom of the screen, the view scrolls smoothly to the next pages. However, right now the scrolling is extremely slow — almost like it’s frozen or moving at a snail’s pace. It only selects the text visible on the current screen. I’m not sure what’s causing this delay.

Hi there

Hope you are doing well and thanks for reaching out.

Is this an issue with a particular PDF file or with all the PDFs? Please try with a different PDF file and check.

What is the version of the Acrobat App and the OS you are using? To check the version of the app go to Help > About Acrobat and make sure its updated to the latest version 25.01.2043X from the Help menu > check for updates and reboot the device once.  https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/identify-product-version.html

Also, for testing purposes, turn off the protected mode. Go to Preferences (Ctrl,Cmd+K) > Enhanced Security > Uncheck 'Enable protected mode at startup' and Turn off the Protected mode > Click OK and reboot the application once. https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/protected-mode-troubleshooting-reader.html
Note: Please turn on the protected mode after testing to avoid any security risk.

Let us know how it goes.

Regards
Amal
