Issue Converting PDF to Word File – Adobe Feature Missing

New Here ,
Jun 03, 2025 Jun 03, 2025

Hi Team,

I wanted to highlight that our team is currently unable to convert Word files to PDF. The system is showing a message stating that this feature is not included in the current Adobe plan.

Could you please check and assist with resolving this issue? In the meantime, please help us convert the file so we can continue working on it.

Thank you for your support.

Best regards,
Freddy Doyle

@freddy_6383 that is correct. The message "This feature is not included in your current Acrobat license" confirms that the free Adobe Acrobat Reader you are using does not support converting files like Word documents into PDFs. Your Free Acrobat Reader is primarily for viewing, printing, and annotating PDFs, not for creating or editing them.

If you want to convert the file, you need to upgrade:

You can typically convert a Word document to PDF directly from Microsoft Word itself by going to "File" > "Save As" and selecting PDF as the output format.

To enable your team to convert Word files to PDF consistently, your organization would need to acquire licenses for Adobe Acrobat Standard or Adobe Acrobat Pro, as these paid versions include the full suite of PDF creation and editing functionalities. You should reach out to your IT department or the person managing your team's software licenses to explore upgrading your Adobe plan.

Hi creativeexplorer,

Thank you for the clarification.

Our organization has already initiated the process to upgrade our Adobe license to include the necessary PDF conversion features. We’re currently waiting for the updated access to be activated.

In the meantime, if possible, could you or someone from the community help convert the attached file so our team can continue working without delay?

Appreciate your support.

Best regards,
Freddy Doyle

Hi @freddy_6383,

Hope you are doing well. Thanks for writing in!

We can assist you with technical queries or workflow-related queries, but actually doing the work would be something out of scope for us.

There might be someone who would be willing to help you out with the exporting of files, but I would recommended acting with caution when sending files to someone (specially if it has sensitive information).

In the meantime, if you have access to tools for Acrobat web, you can try exporting the files from our portal: https://adobe.ly/4jxn6cY.

Hope this clarifies your question.

Regards,
Souvik.

@freddy_6383 convert the file yourself... as mentioned above.

You can typically convert a Word document to PDF directly from Microsoft Word itself by going to "File" > "Save As" and selecting PDF as the output format.
