Keyboard cursor navigation

New Here ,
Nov 07, 2016 Nov 07, 2016

Can anyone advise me on how to navigate a PDF using the keyboard selection cursor? Is it even possible?

I have checked the "always display keyboard selection cursor" in Accessibility categories.

Now, if I use search (Ctrl + F) the cursor does move to the search results.

I can also use the cursor to move line by line using cursor keys, but if I move page up or page down the cursor does not move to the new page.

Similarly with TOC or bookmarks, if I select a bookmark (using mouse or keyboard) the visual page scrolls to the right place but the cursor stays where it was in the document and does not move to the new visual position.

I have searched everywhere I can think of for information on this but although there are keyboard shortcuts to *show* navigation points, the cursor doesn't move with them.

The reason I want to do this is to use the keyboard cursor with accessibility software for screen reading and magnification.

thanks

Hi Dolphin_jane,

Sorry for the delay in response.

Unfortunately, there is nothing much that can be done on this. there isn't  specific setting that can be changed for the cursor.

you can check the more options under Edit>Preferences>General

Thanks,

Akanchha
