Guest

Hi,

i would like to know if i can install Adobe Reader for viewing .pdf document on the server of my company with S.O. Windows Server 2012 Standard.

Users will connect remotely also and work with the server but we no need to distribute the software to other pc from the server.

We can use a free license on the server or have to buy a special one?

Thanks

Hi Tariq,

Thank you for confirming that  Adobe - Adobe Acrobat Reader DC Distribution can be installed on a server for free.

Since Volume distribution | Adobe Acrobat Reader DC is a requirement when distributing Adobe Acrobat Reader DC software, please advise if a license is required where the only use for Adobe Acrobat Reader DC software is to view PDF on the server.

Many Thanks,

Fiona.

Hi Fiona,

It is free of cost distribution license. You may follow the instructions on the link provided and make sure when you file the request don't use personal email id's. Use your official email id while filing the request.

Let me know if that helps.

Hi Tariq,

My understanding from your reply would be that even though Adobe Acrobat Reader DC software will be only be used to view PDFs on the server and not used for distribution purposes, a distribution license is still required.

Please confirm my understanding above.

Many thanks,

  Fiona.
