Hi there,
I understand your frustration, and I apologize for any inconvenience caused. We take your privacy and security concerns very seriously. Given that the PDF files contain sensitive financial information, we completely respect your decision not to provide them.
Is this an issue only with the financial documents (Bank Statements) or with other PDFs as well? Please try with a non-financial document and check for the issue? This information will help us better understand the problem and find a way to resolve it without compromising your privacy. Thank you for your patience and cooperation.

One new data point:
Verizon billing statements are also affected (not a financial institution per se, but close enough)
Summary (for me, so far, repeating earlier information):
Affected:
Bank of America credit card statements
Barclay credit card statements
Verizon billing statements
NOT Affected:
Bank of America checking account statements
Statements from several other credit cards
Statements from my local Utility company
Statements from 2 different major brokerage firms
Any other general pdf documents (at least not that I know of yet)

I have searched through a multitude of documents which were not downloaded from a secure website and am not encountering this issue with any of those. Out of the 10 financial websites from which I regularly download statements only about 5 exhibit this issue including 3 credit card statements, 1 investment statement, and 1 car loan statement. I've searched through both scanned and downloaded documents and am only seeing this with documents downloaded from secure websites (i.e. password, 2FA, and passkey protected).

Amal, Yes, it is with others. I posted about that below, offered you an example PDF and four additional screenshots. This is becoming ridiculous. Please read the string.

Ravi,
I have the same problem using Acrobat Reader 2025.001.20432 on Mac OS 15.3.2. The affected documents include all Medicare claims reports past and present, so this is an enormously important problem for me and everyone in the US on Medicare using this version of Acrobat Reader on a current Mac OS. This should be escalated to the highest priority.

I am in the same boat with my Chase statements. The January and February ones worked fine, but in the March one, only lines and graphics are visible, and the remainder of the page is white (although it does show up in the file preview in Finder (I'm on a MacBook Air). I have an older MacBook running an old version of Acrobat Reader, and I can view the same PDFs there just fine. I'm with the others who are reluctant to send PDFs because of the financial and personal information in the documents.

It's happening to any PDF now in Acrobat. Here is an example PDF plus a screenshot of what is appearing in Acrobat. The text is there (can be highlighted, copied, pasted) but is invisible. I'm also sending the Acrobat version I'm using and my Mac's info. Hopefully your engineers can do something with all this info. Right now, the app is completely unusable.

Adobe: you have all of the information you need. Asking deflecting questions doesn't help anyone. We cannot view content on bank sourced PDFs. The text is there but the text color is white on a white background. None of the long list of hoops to jump through to fix it on our end are working. Fix it.

I have this issue too. Can you tell me when you expect to have a fix for this. So many of my reference materials I have saved as PDFs. Not all of them are affected but most are. This is making it impossible to do my job. I really need a quick fix.

Same issue here (European bank documents). From what has been said above, it's specific to bank and financial files. As for asking people to share those files with you to correct it , it's obvious than no one is comfortable with that, plus I'm quite confindent in saying that someone at Adobe has a bank account and must experience the same issue? Unless it is mandatory for U peeps to keep your money stashed under your matress? ;^)

I must remember to not drink my coffee while reading these replies. Your last sentence made me do a snort laugh and I spat my coffee all over. 🤣

There is still the issue for me in Adobe Acrobat Pro that when I open pdfs, instead of opening in the Adobe Acrobat Pro app, the files actually open in a separate Adobe Acrobat Helper app window instead.

Hi @kd49396195
Could you please confirm the Acrobat version on your machine and please confirm the file is still opening as blank for you ?

I updated to 2025.001.20438. The files are not opening blank anymore, but the files open in a separate "app widow" called "Adobe Acrobat Helper" instead of the "Adobe Acrobat Pro" app window. See screenshot.
