Hello,

I'm having an issue with using stamps. It seems that when I add one the reciever can edit the stamp, whoever this may be. Is there a way ro make sure that when I add a stamp, save the document and send it the reciever can't move it around the document?

Thanks in advance!

If you tell us which program (and version) you are using, someone can move this post to the appropriate product forum, where you are more likely to get a useful answer.

Ah. In that case, I think what you have to do is go into the Document Properties and click the Security tab, then change the Security Method to Password Security. Once on the Password Security - Settings window, select the Restrict editing and printing option under Permissions and make sure that Changes Allowed is None. Enter a password in the Change Permissions Password field and click OK.

Note that other PDF readers can often bypass the password, but as long as your readers are using Acrobat, they shouldn't be able to move the stamps around.

Thanks,

This method seems to work but is a bit long for my colleagues to do. Is there a faster way to add a non editable image that works in the same way as the signature image?

The method described above is not possible to implement in Reader, only in Acrobat. And it's easily overcome.

The only way of preventing a file (sort of) from being edited in Reader is to digitally sign it.

That doesn't actually prevent it from being edited, but it does make it possible to prove it was edited.

You can print it via Microsoft print to PDF. It makes new PDF with merged "layers" so you can not move or edit stamps anymore.
