Ok, I'm getting this message but here's the rub, I did save the document (to test it) with 1 comment before I went on to write 52 comments over 114 pages. Now it won't save at all. Please tell me how to save it with my comments OR, how to at least get my comments into a separate saveable document so i don't lose them. thank you!

Go to Edit tab.

Click "combine files"

Add open files (eg the PDF you can't save due to 135 error)

Click "combine"

You get Binder1.pdf which will now save, and preserves commenting (I know because I had a 266 page PDF with extensive commenting that I was at risk of losing)
