Since the recent update to Adobe Reader (Sept/Oct 2018), while in "Fill and Sign" mode, I've been unable to move the text boxes around in my "Simple Business Invoice Template". The emblem for moving the text box is there (the criss-cross arrows), but I am unable to move the text box.

Thank you in advance for any help in this matter.

Hi Dan!

Reset the Adobe Reader's preferences once and reboot the machine, to reset the preferences, refer to the help article How to reset Acrobat Preference settings to default. See, if this brings any difference.

If the issue persists, navigate to Adobe Reader's Preference from Edit menu>Preferences>Security(Enhanced)>and uncheck these two options 'Enable Protected Mode at Startup' and 'Enable Enhanced Security'>Click OK. Close Adobe Reader and launch it back and check.

Hello Dano,

We're sorry for the trouble you had with Adobe Reader, what is the dot version of Adobe Reader installed? To identify, refer to Identify the product and its version for Acrobat and Reader DC

Is it a Mac or Windows machine and what is the version?

Is it possible to post a screenshot of the text box which you are not able to move as I tried replicating the same issue at my end on Mac and Windows and I am able to move the Textbox. See the screenshot

To post a screenshot, refer to https://forums.adobe.com/docs/DOC-7043#jive_content_id_How_do_I_attach_a_screenshot

Have you check with other PDF or is it specific to one PDF?

Make sure that you have the latest version of Adobe Reader 19.008.20074 installed, check for any pending updates from help>check for updates, reboot the machine after updating Adobe Reader.

Let us know how it goes and share your observation.

Thanks,

Anand Sri.

Hello Anand Sri,

The "Text Box" that I was referring to with what you show in "

https://forums.adobe.com/servlet/JiveServlet/downloadImage/2-10670816-1593268/900-172/pastedImage_2....

where it says "Type Text Here". If I place my cursor on the outer edges of

that box I get the "crossed arrows" indicating "move", but I am unable to

"move" which I was able to do prior to the update of late.

This is "Adobe Acrobat Reader DC Continuous Release | Version

2019.008.20080 and I am running Windows 10. I have checked with some of my

other PDF's (Inspection Reports, Time Sheets and Invoices that I have to

fill out for my employer and for our self-employment) and the result is the

same.

Is there a way that I can revert back to the version that I had prior to

this latest update?

Thank you

Dan
