Hello, since updating to the latest patch of Adobe Reader DC 19.008.20074, we have noticed that on our Windows 7 machines.  Our workflow is such that we are opening/closing and emailing pdfs all day long.  At certain points through out the day we will get a call saying that outlook is frozen.  When looking in task manager we see that there will be multiple instances of Acrord32.  After manually ending the processes, all functionality returns to normal.

Has anyone else seen this?

Hi Michaell,

As explained above, is this problem started appearing immediate after updating the application to version 19.008.20074?

Since you have mentioned that opening/closing and emailing pdfs is freezing Outlook. Which means the PDFs and application Adobe Reader is getting closed by the processes are running at the back-end.

  • To rectify this problem, you may first install the latest patch for Adobe Reader DC version 19.010.20064, which would help fixing the bugs reported in previous version.
  • Reboot your computer.
  • From task manager, not just Acrord32 you may also close the unnecessary processes running at the background which aren't in use. As it might be impacting the system performance.
  • You may also check the MS update for Outlook.

Let us know if that makes a difference.

Regards,

Akanchha
