Every time I try to download and install Acrobat Reader, I get a message that says it contained a virus and was deleted.

I checked my anti virus and here are the details:

This is propably a false positive of your Windows Defender. Try to get updated virus definitions through the Windows Update and try again.

Hi there.  First off is this the only app your having problems with?  Not just install or uninstall but running slower than usual or more ads popping up? Do your apps stop running for no reason and you have to log back in? If so, I would highly recommend that you check your device for malware and spyware.  If so than unfortunately it's a much bigger issue.  If none of the previous sounds about right than run your Device Scan.  This should detect the above or other factors that could be the problem. Good luck!
