I am deploying Adobe Acrobat Reader DC and I am required to remove the big blue button you see when viewing a PDF that says "Free 7-Day Trial"
 Untitled.pngexpand image
I have tried checking Disable upsell in the Acrobat Customization Wizard.
I have tried setting this DWORD value: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Adobe\Acrobat Reader\DC\FeatureLockDown DWORD "bAcroSuppressUpsell" = 1
None of it works.

All companies are now a p.i.t.a.  They think they have answered all possible questions, but they haven't and they got rid of all staff, so customers are helpless!!!!

I was able to do this on the primay launch window of adobe reader with a GPO and regedit(s)

added 3 reg keys (Dwords) BUT if you click 'fill & sign, or Add a stamp' the option for 7 day free trial is there. 😞

Hi bkehl ,

Thank you for reaching out.

As you are deploying the application, please refer to the information in the following help document: https://adobe.ly/3Z1UP80. Check if that helps.

If the above document does not help, let us know the options you have already tried.

We will check with the team.

Thanks,

Meenakshi

Hi,

Thanks for your response. That document was not helpful in my situation.

I have tried:

  1. Checking Disable upsell in the Acrobat Customization Wizard.

  2. Setting this DWORD value: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Adobe\Acrobat Reader\DC\FeatureLockDown DWORD "bAcroSuppressUpsell" = 1

  3.  Adding these registry keys:
    • Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Policies\Adobe\Adobe Acrobat\DC\FeatureLockDown\benablePersistentButton=0

    • Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Policies\Adobe\Adobe Acrobat\DC\FeatureLockDown\cServices\bUpdater=0

    • Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Policies\Adobe\Adobe Acrobat\DC\FeatureLockDown\bAcroSuppressUpsell=1

Hi bkehl ,

Thank you for the information, and sorry about the delay.

Would you mind trying the steps suggested in the correct marked answer by "nathanmnz" on the following community thread with a similar discussion: https://community.adobe.com/t5/enterprise-teams-discussions/adobe-acrobat-reader-dc-disable-start-fr...

Let us know how it goes.

Thanks,

Meenakshi
