Hi Avinashk,
As you have mentioned above, that when you open a second document it closes the first one which is already open. So there could be a possibility that its not closing the first one its just opening the second one on new window and that's why you cant see the first document already opened.
You may follow the steps mentioned below and change the settings accordingly-
- Go to Edit>Preferences> General> Check "Open documents as new tabs in the same window"
- To apply the changes, you must close
