Opening sticky notes

Guest

I created a pdf and emaild it to a friend who provided comments via sticky notes. She emailed it back to me. I can open and read the pdf, but cannot open the sticky notes. I can see the sticky notes, but when I hover over or click on them, it's like they aren't there (it just highlights the text behind). I have used the 'hand tool' and it doesn't recognize the sticky notes either. When I open the 'comments list,' it says there are 0 comments in the document. Any ideas on how to open her comments?

At the time you are doing this, what is the app which is running? For instance your email app, browser, a PDF Reader? (Note: I'm not asking what is installed but what you actually see to be running). On Windows the app name is often in the title bar.

It opens in a Adobe Reader.

Ok, it may be that they used an incompatible app to make the notes. Or saved it a funny way. Do you know what they did? Has this ever worked between you before?

It has worked when I sent and recieved it from my Gmail. The problem this time is that I sent it to her from my work email and then she sent it back to my Gmail. Not sure what happens within my work email, but wanted to see if there was a way to fix it so she wouldn't have to recomment on the long document.
