Question

Option to save file to cloud is greyed out.

I'm using Adobe Reader DC and trying to save pdfs to the cloud from my PC so that I can read them from another device. However, the option to save as cloud file is greyed out. I was able to do this a few months ago, but it is no longer letting me. The files I'm trying to upload to cloud are currently saved on my desktop.

Thanks,

Brandon

Hey Brandon,

Thanks for sharing details. When you are trying to save PDFs to the cloud are you not able to see the cloud location?

You may check the Acrobat's preferences settings Open Acrobat>Edit>Preferences>General>Show online storage when saving files is it checked or not?

Also, try uploading the file online via Document Cloud web, here's the web link: https://documentcloud.adobe.com/link/home/

Let us know how it goes.

Thanks,

Akanchha

Hi Akanchha,

It looks like I am able to save to the cloud through the web link as a work around.

The storage box is already checked in preferences. It's just the cloud symbol is greyed out and won't let me click it. I tried to attach pics to better detail it but it doesn't look like I can post pics on this thread.

I had the same problem today - upload button greyed out and not working. Then I did a help -> repair installation, and now I can upload again. The button still becomes greyed out a few seconds after opening a document (at the exact moment when the "start free trial" text appears in the bottom right corner), but it works anyway.
