Hello.
I'm trying to print PDF's to my HP plotter, but noticed that the paper size noted is incorrect and should read 34". How can I fix this without having to reload the paper again, since I've already tried that. An IT tech person that I've been working in our office said this should fix my problem that is shown in the second image where my print is not printing correctly. I'm having to trim the paper every time I print a PDF, which is wasting a lot of paper. Feel free to offer other suggestions to fix this, if you feel if this fix will not solve my problem. Thanks in advance.

Hello Lbellino,
We apologize for the inconvenience caused, as per the description above, the paper size noted is incorrect and should read 34" in your HP Designjet printer, Is that correct?
Please enable the checkbox "Choose Paper Source by PDF page size" and try printing the PDF file and see if this brings any difference
Try disabling the option and see if this prints the PDF in the correct paper size. Make sure that you have the latest version of Adobe Reader installed, check for any pending updates from help>check for updates, reboot the machine after installing any updates.
Also, make sure that you have the latest printer driver installed on the machine. You can also refer and try the suggestions from the following Adobe article Troubleshoot PDF printing in Acrobat and Reader
Have you tried printing the PDF to a different printer? What is the dot version of Adobe Reader installed? To identify refer to Identify the product and its version for Acrobat and Reader DC
Is it a Mac or Windows machine and what is the version of the operating system installed? What is the make and model of the printer and the version of the driver installed?
Please help with these piece of information so that we can assist you in a better manner.
Looking forward to your response.
Regards,
Anand Sri.

Thanks for your reply. I'm using an HP Designjet T770 plotter, which is the plotter with the issue, since the other printers we use for PDF's are using for 8 1/2" x 11" or 11" x 17" and those print fine and to the paper size that is specified. This HP plotter we use for the larger size prints, which we use daily and don't have another plotter that will print these large prints.
I have printed both where the check box was enabled and disabled for "Choose Paper Source by PDF page size" and that doesn't fix the issue.
I did check for updates and its says we're current and there are none at this time.
This is a Windows computer, version is Windows 7 Pro
Below is the version I have installed per the company I work at. Not sure what the "Dot" version is, unless that's what the "DC"
means. I'm checking with our IT person to verify the drivers. But at least you have this information to see if any of these items could be the issue.

The tech person had me install the driver my computer still needed, which I did this morning. Unfortunately, that did not fix the problem I'm having. Any other troubleshooting I can try to fix this issue?
FYI - Someone else printed large prints to this same plotter and I took a photo of it this morning, which I've attached so you can see that it will print correctly. Just for some reason from my computer, it does not. That's why I'm thinking it's a setting on my computer that's causing this. Just don't know which one it is.

Hello Lbellino,
Sorry for the delayed response and inconvenience caused. What is the page/pdf dimension/size you are trying to print? Please navigate to Document's properties from Edit>Properties>Under Advanced>Check the file size (X*Y inches)
If possible, try printing the PDF file using the trial of Acrobat Pro DC Download Pro or Standard versions of Acrobat DC | Non-subscription and see if this brings any difference.
Also, try opening the PDF in a browser like Chrome or Firefox or Safari and try printing it and see if this issue is reproducible?
Let us know how it goes and share your findings.
Regards,
Anand Sri.

Hi Anand Sri.
First, I'm not sure where the "check file size" that you're referring to is, but below is the settings that I currently am using for the larger plots and if you look at the second image I'm sending, it now shows 34", instead of the 33.99" as I showed in an earlier image, and now it's printing fine from a pdf. I attached an photo of two different pdf plots that were giving me issues last week. Not sure what changed over the weekend to have it read the size correctly, but I'll take it. But it still doesn't print right when I print the drawing right from AutoCAD, which is something their forum will have to look into, unless this is something you can help with.
I didn't download the DC Pro you recommended yet, since it was printing fine...at least today.
As for your last comment about opening the PDF in Chrome or Firefox, I do use Chrome and need to know how I would actually open a pdf from my computer via Chrome. When I checked my Chrome settings, it does open PDF files, but it's for those that are on the internet. So if there is a way to open those on my computer, can you please provide how to do this?

Sorry I didn't know how to edit my last post because I forgot to add the photo of my plots, which I've attached.
