PDF durchsuchen funktioniert nicht

New Here ,
Jan 30, 2018 Jan 30, 2018

Hallo liebe Foren-Mitglieder,

Also kein OCR, etc. Einfach nur ein eigener Text.

Habt ihr Ideen?

Danke,

Lg,

C.

Hello claussp

We apologize for the inconvenience caused, as per the description above, you are not able to search words in a PDF using Adobe Reader, Is that correct?

Please try the following steps mentioned below:

  • Open up PDF file in Adobe Reader
  • Go to the top menu bar and click Edit then Preferences
  • When the Preferences box opens, select the Search category on the left
  • When in the Search category look to the bottom and click on the Purge Cache Contents box/button
  • Click OK in the bottom right of Preferences and re-attempt search

Check for any pending updates from Help>Check for updates. Reboot the machine after the installation of updates and see if this brings any difference.

Have you tried any other PDF? What version of Adobe Reader DC is installed, to identify, refer to Identify the product and its version for Acrobat and Reader DC

You may also refer to the following KB docs which discuss the similar issue Searching problem

Let us know how it goes.

Hi Anand,

thanks for your reply. Sorry that I initially wrote this in German, I thought it was the German adobe board. Nevermind.

My problem is as follows:

All of a sudden today, when I would search (ctrl+f) through the same pdf file that I have been searching through for the last couple days, it would not find all the words I search for. So when I do the search option it still finds certain words, but with other words it tells me that those do not exist in the pdf document (but they do..I wrote the text..).

Clearing the cache sadly didn't help.

I am using the DC version 2018.009.20044
