PDF file double image

My student's pdf files appear with 2 images, as if I am seeing 2 layers at the same time.
This just started yesterday, it was fine last week.
Have there been some changes to the Adobe Acrobat Reader program that caused this, and how do I get it fixed?

There have been no changes in the last several weeks to Adobe Acrobat Reader.
If you can post a sample PDF file that exhibits the problem, we might be able to troubleshoot what the problem actually is.

I have had the same problem using Acrobat 6.0 recently.
When I scan a doc and then view it, it shows a double-vision image. Through experimenting, I have discovered that the scanned doc, if viewed via Acrobat Reader, is fine. Also, turning off the Page Thumbnail in Acrobat 6.0 removes the blurring but as soon as I turn it back on, the double-vision image returns.

Looks like a bug in Acrobat 6. You've been very lucky keeping museum software running on current systems, but your luck may have now run out. Acrobat DC is about $15 per month subscription.
