pdf file error

i transferred my pdf files from my old laptop to a new by cut & paste to my hard drive. but now i am unable to open all my pdfs getting an error "adobe reader couldnt open ............... .pdf because it is either not a supported file type or because the file has been damaged Untitled.pngexpand image
