PDF files downloaded trigger needing to upgrade Adobe Reader DC, already on latest version

Today, when trying to download PDF files from a web site, I was prompted to upgrade Acrobat reader to thelatest version or some thing will not display correctly. (Paraphrase, don't have the dialog to view anymore) I already have the latest version patch release from Dec. 2019 (20061) the prompt took me to adobe's site where the download available is version 20059. The file did open properly, but there seems to be a detection problem opening web links. I cannot provide the link to anyone here to check because it was my Tax forms on creditkarma.com
