Hello,

For some reason I cannot open PDF files using reader. I have tried uninstalling and re-intalling reader, but it didnt help. I open Acrobat, I click on the File menu, I navigate to open and select a PDF file and nothing happens. Im on a mac running 10.14, but this same issue happened running on 10.13. I was hoping the update would solve something, but no.

The reader version I have installed is:

Architecture: x86_64

Build: 19.10.20069.311970

AGM: 4.30.83

CoolType: 5.14.5

JP2K: 1.2.2.42216

Hi Stephallen,

Sorry to hear about the frustrating experience so far and thanks for reporting this to us.

Are you not able to open any file using Adobe Reader or is it just specific file? Since you have already tried uninstalling/reinstalling the application and it didn't improve anything.

We recommend you to install the latest patch released on 12th DC Release Notes — Release Notes for Acrobat DC Products and see if that makes a difference in performance. Open Acrobat>Help>Check for Update

If not

If nothing works, then you might need to uninstall application again using cleaner tool- Download Adobe Reader and Acrobat Cleaner Tool - Adobe Labs  and reinstall it.

Let us know your findings if you have managed to find the resolution for this.

Akanchha
