PDF keeps going black

New Here ,
Jun 19, 2020 Jun 19, 2020

I've recently installed Reader DC on a new windows laptop (running Win 10 Home 2004) and whenever I load a file into the reader and click on it, it becomes unreadable.  I can't find any issues that match this.  I've reinstalled it a couplle of times and no change.  It was happening before I updated the laptop as well.  Can't work out how to fix it.  Any help appreciated.  I've attached before and after versions of a dummy file which shows what's happening.  Happens with all files - not just this one.
