Good morning. I need to file a legal document asap and it must be in pdf searchable format. I filed the document in a pdf but do not know how to get the document in a pdf searchable format.

Due to signatures and the like, many legal documents are not searchable unless the sender has ran Optical Character Recognition on them. If you are dealing with the courts, they probably haven't done that (we get tons of them and have to run it ourselves). Unfortunately, you cannot do this with the free Adobe Acrobat Reader. For that you would need the full version of Acrobat.

You can get a 7-day free trial of Acrobat Pro. Be sure to cancel if you don't need it beyond the one document. You'll bring up the Enhance Scans toolbar > Recognize Text (top bar) > Settings (Make appropriate choices, then OK) > Click Recognize Text (second line, in the box)
