Hi, I'm hoping someone can help me with this because I rely on the thumbnails in Explorer pretty heavily.

Thumbnails in explorer were working fine unitl this morning. The weird thing is that a few PDFs still have thumbnails, but most don't. The ones without thumnails just show the white and red PDF logo page.

I rechecked the "Enable PDF Thumbnail previews in windows explorer" and it was still checked. I un-checked and rechecked, then hit "OK". No change.

It then unistalled Adobe Reader DC and reinstalled. Still no luck.

I've attached a couple of pictures. One of the thumbnails in explorer, the other of the enable box checked.

Thanks for reading!

Hi Meenakshi,

Thanks for the reply. I seem to have the issue resolved. I reset the laptop and installed all my software again (but kept my files), which didn't correct the issue. Then I stopped the explorer service, deleted the thumbnails database files and seems to have corrected the issue. All the PDF thumbnails are back and things seem OK as far as I can tell.

Thanks for your help though. Much appriciated.

Paul
