Hi,
I have some thinclients that connect in RDP to a windows 2012 R2 server. Acrobat Reader DC (2018.009.20050) is installed on the server.
In the pdfs with fillable fields it is not possible to write in the fields, I see the field as filable but nothing happens when I try to write anything.
The same PDF on a normal Windows 10 PC with the same version of Acrobat Reader DC has fields that can be filled in correctly.
Thank you so much,
Lorenzo

Do you see the Acrobat Reader title bar above the form, and the form is in this window? Not, for example, Chrome or full screen?

I have not opened the PDF with Chrome, the PDF and the fillable fields are inside Acrobat Reader, under the title bar of Acrobat Reader.

Compare Help > About plugins to make sure all are loaded on the thin client.

Not all modules are loaded, what modules are required?

If plugins were removed they should be put back. Adobe do not support any incomplete install. fo you see more plugins in the working system?

I found this difference between the PC and the ThinClient:
Internet Access Plug-in (IA32.api)
Spelling (Spelling.api)
How can I load the missing plug-ins?

Going to the "modify -> preferences" menu under "spelling check" I get the following error:
translated into English: Can not locate any dictionary. The installation may be damaged.
Perhaps it may be related to the inability to fill in the fields.

1. For Plug-ins, Loaded: No is not a problem. Some plug-ins are loaded only when needed. I tested this. In my Reader, the Spelling plug-in was loaded only after I used spelling or spelling preferences.
2. The Preferences error is a problem. I see a normal preferences page. It seems that maybe part of your Reader install is missing. This is not the same problem as the forms but there may be one cause for both problems.
The dictionary on my system is in C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\Reader\DC\Linguistics\Providers\Plugins2\AdobeHunspellPlugin\Dictionaries .Notice the Common Files folder. I suggest you compare this folder. If the folder is missing, perhaps the whole Common Files\Adobe file was lost in deployment. You can use START > Run and type %COMMONPROGRAMFILES(x86)% (including % signs) to check the actual folder used on this system, in case the thin clients do not use the default.

The dictionary path is correct and contains the same files as the PC that works correctly:
but the error in preferences persist.

Did you do the test on %COMMONPROGRAMFILES(x86)% ? I mention this again because it's my last idea.

Yes, the path %COMMONPROGRAMFILES(x86)% correctly redirect to: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files"

I just ran into the same problem. I was able to fill out the first page, but then on the second page I wasn't able to fill anything in and now cannot scroll back for my first page. So I tried re-downloading the form from the website (ABC) and the form that was frozen showed up. It's probably in my Adobe CLOUD but now I'm stuck with this thing that doesn't work. Disgusted with Adobe. Am going to have to now call the primary client and see what they can do.
