Persistent, annoying Adobe Acrobat DC desktop shortcut

No matter how many times I delete the desktop shortcut for Adobe Acrobat, every time it updates it automatically generates a new desktop shortcut. Any help to prevent this "feature" would be greatly appreciated.

Hi

I don't think there's a way to run the update without it adding a desktop icon, I can't say that I ever noticed it been an issue for me, the app doesn't update that often and it's only a matter of deleting the icon every once in a while.

I'll move this thread to the Acrobat DC forum.
