Print to pdf

I'm confused by all the adobe products.  Is the "print to pdf" feature available in Adobe Acrobat Reader DC?  When I look to add a printer it does not come up in the available printers window.

print to Adobe PDF comes with Adobe Acrobat Standard or Pro.

I have always used the free download pdf reader (for decades, so the names have been different over the years), now all of a sudden 'Print to PDF' is not available.  Why?
I am going to see if I can find a more current thread to use, but if you can help, that would be great!

If you had this option it had nothing to do with Adobe Reader, then.
