Printing a PDF only makes me save a .prn file and does not actually print

I have Acrobat Reader and I did not have this problem in the past. Like it says in the title, when I am trying to print a pdf, instead of doing so it pops up the save file dialogue. I searched on the internet for a solution and it says about unchecking a "print to file" box. The problem is that the box was already unchecked and I don't know what else I can do. How do I fix this?
