Problem with default dynamic stamps in Reader 11

I have an automated process using Reader 11 in which the shortcut key "K" is used to pull up the most recently used Dynamic Stamp.  It works on multiple PCs, and has worked for over a year, but I have an issue now.  One user needed to have reader reinstalled, and since then, the "K" shortcut does not bring up any stamp.  Reader does not remember the last stamp picked by the user.  The user has to go through the steps of selecting the stamp.  Once they do this, the "k" works while in that documents, but once that document is closed, "k" will "forget" again when the next PDF is opened.

I have been unsuccessful finding any possible fix for this, Does any one know what might be causing it ?  Thanks

We figured this out, just posting the solution in case anyone else comes across this.  We had reinstalled an old version of reader 11, and we had turned off the automatic updates to avoid switching to DC (for other reasons) but this inadvertendly stopped updates to version 11, so we were using a program outdated to 2014, by manually checking for updates, it fixed the problem

the reason the K shortcut for stamp wasn't working is because the comment window wasnt open , if you opened the edit/comment window first, K then works again
