Problems with marking in Adobe Reader

im currently experiencing a problem with the marker function in Adobe Reader. I'm only able to mark some letters or words.

For example:

Can you share the file with us (via Dropbox, Google Drive, Adobe Cloud, etc.)?

Also, what version of Reader are you using?
