quality difference Acrobat Reader - Acrobat Pro DC

As an educator, I use Adobe Acrobat Pro DC to make my textbooks available to my students. They use Acrobat reader to view the document, make annotations, ...
However, I noticed a big decline in viewing quality when the document is opened in Acrobat Reader.

In these screenshots I opened exactly the same document in Acrobat Pro DC (left) and Acrobat Reader (right). You can clearly see the difference in quality.

This is really a problem for my students. Can something be done to improve the viewing quality in Acrobat Reader to make it similar to the quality of the same document in Adobe Pro DC?

That depends on multiple factors. If you opened the files on the same computer then compare the Page Display settings of both applications, which you can find under Edit (Bewerken) - Preferences (I'm guessing Instellingen or Voorkeuren) - Page Display (Pagina Weergeven?).

Thanks! I set the resolution to 110 pixels/inch and that was already a big improvement.

Sorry, can't see the difference. This isn't your fault, but the forum's fault as it shrinks down screen shots in a really unhelpful way, and loses all the detail. If your question isn't answered, please share the screen shot again, this time as an attached PNG rather than as an image. Ideally, please share a link to the PDF itself (or a sample one page PDF that shows the issue).

After clicking the screenshot, right-click the image and select View Image to view the full-size version.

And yes, this forum does a terrible job of displaying embedded images.
