I just received my new computer from IT. It has Outlook 2013 Standard and Adobe Reader Pro DC installed.
On my old computer (with the same programs) I was able to right click a .pdf attachment in Outlook and quick print it with no issues.
On this new computer, when I quick print, a white screen pops up quickly, then opens Adobe. I have to manually close this out every time.
I've already tried repairing Outlook, setting the default reader to Edge, then back to Adobe, checking for adobe updates, restarting my computer, closing startup programs, and ending programs in the task manager.
How do I get this resolved? It's frustrating trying to print invoices and having to close adobe every time.
Hi All
Hope you are doing well.
This issue is fixed with the recent release - version 22.2.20191. Please update the application from the help menu > check for updates and reboot the computer once.
You may also download the patch manually from the link https://www.adobe.com/devnet-docs/acrobatetk/tools/ReleaseNotesDC/index.html

Hi,
Thanks for reporting this to us.
I just received my new computer from IT. It has Outlook 2013 Standard and Adobe Reader Pro DC installed.
There's no such application called Adobe Acrobat Reader Pro DC. It's probably the freeware Adobe Acrobat Reader DC. Adobe Acrobat Pro DC is the paid software.
Since you mentioned getting the new computer from IT, we assume you have installed the recent version of the application.
Please share the dot version of the application to understand whether an issue appeared with the latest patch or Outlook update.
Open Acrobat Reader DC>Help>About Acrobat Reader DC, take a screenshot and share the version number.
Thanks,
Akanchha

Thank you for confirming the version.
Would you mind trying a couple of more steps suggested below-
Open Acrobat>Help>Repair Installation>Reboot your system
If this doesn't help, use this cleaner tool to remove the existing application and its traces. https://www.adobe.com/devnet-docs/acrobatetk/tools/Labs/cleaner.html
Once done, download the Acrobat from this link https://helpx.adobe.com/download-install/kb/download-install-acrobat-subscription.html
Thanks,
Akanchha

Good Morning,
Just to add to this I am getting the same issue as well as multiple other machines that I support. It seems to be a bug in the latest version.

J'ai le même problème depuis quelques jours moi aussi.
C'est très irritant de devoir fermer le programme à chaque fois que je clique sur un impression rapide d'un document PDF dans mon Outlook.

I'm having the same issue just started in the last couple of weeks. When I quick print from Outlook the Adobe Acrobat Reader opens and I have to close this every time. This is extremely frustrating because I have to quick print about 200 documents from my email at the end of the month and will take me forever now. I am on Windows 10 and have the free version of Adobe Acrobat Reader. I have uninstalled and re-installed 4 times. I have checked the box in Outlook to not preview after printing and still it happens. Not sure what to do next.

Hi there
We are sorry to hear that the issue still exists with the new version 22.2.20191. Please collect the fresh Adobe CC logs https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/cc-log-collector.html and Procmon logs https://www.adobe.com/devnet-docs/acrobatetk/tools/Labs/acromonitor.html and share them as described here https://helpx.adobe.com/document-cloud/help/sharing-pdfs.html so that we can share them with our engineering team for review.

The issue 'Application stays launched when tried using Quick Print workflow for Windows machine(s)' was fixed with the August release and the concern raised that it stays open in minimized mode is an ask for enhancement to the existing functionality; have already shared the same with the engineering team and they are working on it. We will share the update as soon as we get any information on the same.
