Raleway font adding in letters to text

Hi all

I am creating a PDF from Crystal reports and the Raleway font (and seemingly Calibri too) keeps adding in extra letters to the text - so the word Portfolio comes out as portfiolio etc I am not sure if this is a font problem or a dll problem I am desperate for any help.

How did you create the PDF file? Acrobat Reader can't create PDF files.

Hi  - its an export from Crystal to a pdf - and its run through VS2008 - thank you for any help

Looks like a problem of Crystal reports.

I observe there are not actually extra letters. Rather, "f" has been replaced by "fi", a special single character made as a joining together of f and i, called a ligature. Unicode point U+FB01. Of course, it's still wrong, but just possibly, this will point you in the right direction if you're making the PDF.
