Read out loud not working

Hi,

I uploaded a pdf into adobe acrobat reader and when I select read-this-page-only and read-whole-document, the voice keeps saying "warning, empty page," even though there are words on them. I'm not sure why its doing that and I would really appreciate some help.

p.s. i don't think the adobe website, and forums in particular, are easy to navigate, so don't spend a lot of time searching that forum list. do your best and we'll move the post if it helps you get responses.
