Reader crashes on MacBook Air as soon as pdf is opened?

When I open a pdf doc, reader crashes within about 10 seconds.

We apologize for the inconvenience caused.

As per the issue description, Reader is crashing when you open any PDF file, is that correct?

Please go ahead and download the latest update of Reader from the link: https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/install-updates-reader-acrobat.html

If you want, you may also manually trigger the update by opening the application and going to Help > Check for Updates.
