Reader DC crashing when opening files from server, M1 mac, big sur

Question

When opening files off a server, reader keeps hanging. One file will open, a second will not, error messages, I/O error or “file cannot be found.” Not consistent either. Can open same files another time, no hiccup.

Hope you are doing well and sorry to hear that.

Is this a issue with the PDF saved on server or with other PDFs as well? Please try to download the PDF to your computer locally and then try to open it and check.

Also, please get in touch with the IT at your end and see if that helps.
