Reader DC Installation Problem

My Adobe Acrobat Reader DC (on Win 10 with latest updates) stopped workiing.  When opening directly or by clicking on a pdf file Task Manage showed it with 0% CPU and a fixed 2.7 M or so menory.  Control Panel Program removal kept riunning on Uninstall.  After 10 minutes I downloaded the Adobe Reader Removal Tool and ran it.  It stated that Acrobat Reader was removed.  I restarted my computer and downloaded the Acrobat Readrt DC installation progra,/  It seemed to install fine, but at the end said newer Reader program was installed and quit.  But Read DC is not onstalled, at least I can't find any icon or progam name.  How do I install Reader DC?
