Reader DC won't run after download?

I download Reader DC, click finish and the open Reader DC box is clicked but it doesn't open.  Doubleclick the Acrobat Reader DC shortcut but still won't start.  Using Windows 10.  Any ideas?

Hi Stephenc53004390,

Please try the link below to install the application:

Adobe Acrobat Reader DC Install for all versions

Also, if the issue still persists, uninstall and reinstall the application using Adobe Cleaner Tool in the link below:

Download Adobe Reader and Acrobat Cleaner Tool - Adobe Labs

Let me know how it goes.

Thanks,

Supriya

Earlier I noticed my cpu was always 50% to 60% busy so I went into the windows management instrumentation module and stopped some startup processes including one adobe process I thought was looking for updates.  What processes are needed by Reader to start up?
