Reader not working in Mac OS 10.13.6

I got the error message below after updating to Mac OS 10.13.6 High Sierra. I couldn't find anything about this in the help forums. What do I do?

We're sorry for the trouble you had with Adobe Reader, please reboot the machine once and then use Acrobat cleaner tool to remove any corrupt or conflicting installation files of Adobe Reader Download Adobe Reader and Acrobat Cleaner Tool - Adobe Labs

Reboot the machine again and install Adobe Reader version 19.008.20071 from Adobe - Adobe Acrobat Reader DC Distribution

Once it's installed, launch Adobe Reader and check for updates from help>check for updates and install the latest v

Reboot the machine again and install Adobe Reader version 19.008.20071 from Adobe - Adobe Acrobat Reader DC Distribution

Once it's installed, launch Adobe Reader and check for updates from help>check for updates and install the latest version of Adobe Reader 19.008.20074.

Reboot the machine again and check. If you still experience any issue, please create a test user profile with full admin rights or enable the root account, for steps refer to How to enable the root user on your Mac or change your root password - Apple Support

Install Adobe Reader and check.
