Hi Carrotmuseum

We are sorry for the trouble.  As described the application is making the system slow

Would you mind sharing the version of the Adobe Acrobat Reader DC yiu are using? To check the Version go to Help > About Adobe Acrobat Reader DC.

Make sure you have the latest version 20.009.20067 installed. Go to Help > Check for Updates

You may also try to repair the installation (For Windows Only) and see if that makes it better. Go to Help > Repair Installation.

Let us know how it goes

Regards

Amal

Hi there

We are sorry for the trouble.

As you have already removed the application from the windows. Please try to install the Adobe Acrobat Reader using the link Adobe Acrobat Reader DC Install for all versions

Once installed please update the application.  Go to Help > Check for updates.

Did all that, it is still the top of the list for apps significantly slowing down the PC. So it permanently bye bye Adobe reader. It's had its time, they have over complicated what should be a simple pdf reader.
