Reader Stops Working with Windows 10?

New Here ,

My Adobe installation stops working with Windows 10.

I have to use the repair tool embedded into the reader every time I use the reader.

Any guesses?

What version of Reader are you using? What exactly happens when you try to use it?

Version: 22.1.20117.0

When Ilaunch the reader, it is displayed for about 40 seconds and then the reader disappears.

Hi @Matthew.P.K.

Hope you are doing well.
Sorry for the trouble. As per the issue description it looks like this is a crash issue in the Reader DC app, kindly try these steps to troubleshoot the issue :

1. Check if there is any antivirus/VPNs installed then disable that for few minutes and then close the app from task manager then relaunch it. If the app doesn't crash then it's it issue with the antivirus/VPNs.

2. Try to create a test user account and check if that app crashes there too?

Thanks,

Harsh

It is not an app, it is the reader installed on a desktop PC running Windows 10. I disabled the Bit defender, it made no difference.

The only way I can use the Adobe reader each time I start the computer is to repair the installation.

That Adober Reader function may require several attampts.
